This gave her a chance to emphasise the meaning and importance of a Christian life: 'adventure, initiative, danger, romance … The cover image by Hywel Harries portrays two youngsters ready for an ADVENTURE. Migne, correspond fairly closely in subject-matter to the above. The long but untrustworthy 'Life' composed by
Bili
, clerk of Alet, c. 870, and printed by Lot, differs substantially, except for its early chapters, from the others. Malo was the son of Dervel, sister of Amwn Ddu, and therefore cousin to S. Samson. The name of Malo's father is not given. The home of the family was near Llancarfan
PHILLIPS, EDGAR
(Trefîn; 1889 - 1962), tailor, school-teacher, poet, and Archdruid of Wales, 1960-62
he retired in 1954. He was one of the pioneers of broadcasting in Welsh and his detective '
Bili
bach ' was a hero to children of that period. He was a regular competitor at eisteddfodau. Having already won 33 bardic chairs and a crown, he won the chair at the national eisteddfod in 1933 and he was Keeper of the sword of the Gorsedd of Bards from 1947 to 1960, when he was elected archdruid. He
