ELDRIDGE, MILDRED ELSIE (1909 - 1991), artist to Aberdaron, at the tip of the Llŷn peninsula, when Thomas became vicar at Eglwys Hywyn Sant; when he retired in 1978, they moved to an old stone cottage at Sarn y Plas, Rhiw, leased to them by the Keating sisters of Blas yn Rhiw. He died on 13 January 1982 at 87 years of age at Hywyn, his home in Dolgellau, and his remains were cremated on 18 January at Pentrebychan, near Wrexham, close to where he was born. A memorial service was held at Judah chapel, Dolgellau, on 20 February 1982.
