JENKINS, JOSEPH

of Bristol Baptist Academy, but owing to disagreements he removed in 1793 to be pastor of Blandford Street church in London; thence he went to Walworth, where he died 21 February 1819; he was buried in Bunhill Fields. of the Royal Society of Literature. During these final years of his political life, he produced a number of books, including his own autobiography, A Life at the Centre (1991), and biographies of Gladstone (1995) and Churchill (2001).
