Ieuan ap Llywelyn Fychan (died 1532), and his son Gruffydd ap Ieuan ap Llywelyn Fychan (c. 1485 - 1553); the father lived at Llannerch, in the township of Llewenni, Denbighshire, a house afterwards associated with the Davies family, of Llannerch and Gwysaney. GRUFFUDD AP LLYWELYN (bu farw 1064), king of Gwynedd 1039-1064 and overlord of all the Welsh He was the son of Llywelyn ap Seisyll and Angharad merch Maredudd. Gruffudd was one of the most successful British princes of the Middle Ages and the Book of Llandaff claims that he was 'king of all Wales from end to end'. GRUFFUDD LLWYD ap DAFYDD ab EINION LLYGLIW (fl. c. 1380-1410), a poet ap Gwilym (Bulletin of the Board of Celtic Studies, i, 235). The elegy composed by Rhys Goch Eryri on his death forms the opening of that poet's bardic controversy (ymryson) with Llywelyn ap Moel; Gruffudd is also praised by Llywelyn.

GRUFFYDD ap GWENWYNWYN (bu farw 1286), lord of Upper Powys the elder son of Gwenwynwyn by Margaret Corbet of Caus. An infant when his father died, an exile in 1216, he was excluded from his inheritance until after the death of Llywelyn I, meanwhile spending his youth and early manhood in England dependent on royal bounty and his mother's dower. GRUFFYDD ap LLYWELYN (bu farw 1244), prince Natural son of Llywelyn ap Iorwerth by Tangwystl, daughter of Llywarch Goch of Rhos. He was born sometime before his father's marriage to Joan in 1206.
