WILLIAMS, GARETH WYN (Baron Williams of Mostyn), (1941 - 2003), lawyer and politician Gareth Williams was born on 5 February 1941 near Prestatyn, Flintshire. He was the third child of Albert Thomas Williams (died 1964), a primary school headmaster, and his wife Selina (née Evans, died 1985). He had a sister, Catrin, and a brother John. WILLIAMS, JOHN (1582 - 1650), dean of Westminster, lord keeper of the great seal, archbishop of York this grievance, he negotiated with Mytton, commander of the Parliament forces then invading North Wales, and took an active part in his storming of Conway in August 1646. The Welsh cavaliers never forgave his apostasy, though there are indications that he repented of it after the execution of the king. WILLIAMS, Sir JOHN KYFFIN (1918 - 2006), painter and author which was also seen at the Glyn Vivian Gallery in Swansea and at Oriel Mostyn in Llandudno. A number of memorable exhibitions of his work were held at the National Library in Aberystwyth, one in particular to celebrate his eightieth birthday on 9 May 1998, and another to display his Patagonian collection in 2000.
