, Waterbeach,' Cambs. He was ordained and appointed chaplain to an English foundry in Rotterdam; afterwards he was vicar of Waterbeach, 1794-1812. William Owen Pughe, the official editor of the 1807 (Cambridge) edition of Y Bibl Cyssegr-Lan, is said to have been so negligent that nearly 3,000 copies were issued in a defective form, chapter viii of the Book of

, who taught him and Gutyn the rudiments of prosody; then comes a description of Dafydd Ddu, 'their second teacher,' and then there is a reference to John Morgan (1743 - 1801), the curate, ' yn y lle yn gweini llan.' Gwilym Peris died in 1847, and was buried in Llanllechid churchyard.
