Williams (Robert ap Gwilym Ddu, 1767 - 1850); it was Francis who supervised the publication of the hymnary edited by J. R.
Jones
of Ramoth; and in 1829 he published Welsh translations of three of the works of Archibald McLean. He died in December 1831, on the fifth according to his tombstone at Llanllyfni, on the eighth according to the Ramoth (Llanfrothen) church book. A granddaughter of his married the
