Cynfyn, and a co-ruler of Powys at the close of the 11th cent. As vassal of Robert of Montgomery he was involved in the rebellion of 1102. His desertion caused the collapse of the rising, and when he did not receive the whole of the Montgomery inheritance in Wales, as he had hoped, he became troublesome to the Crown, and was imprisoned in 1103.
