Bodfan
Anwyl in the preparation of the fifth edition of Spurrell's dictionary. His chief work was Hanes plwyf Llanegryn, published in 1948. He married Mary Matilda Roberts (1888-1974), and they had one daughter, Mairwen (1922-2004), and one son, Gwilym Prys Davies (1923-2017).

him by revivifying the claims of that ancient borough, and before the sleepy citizens of Beaumaris had awakened to the fact, he was M.P. for the borough and enjoyed the honour for three years (1698-1700). He amassed a large sum-total of lands and an inordinate sum of money, so that his last will gave new life to decadent estates and put them on their feet.
