DAVIES, CLEMENT EDWARD

adopted daughter of
Morgan
Davies, a doctor with a popular practice among the London Welsh and who contributed frequently, under the pseudonym ' Teryll y Bannau ', to Welsh newspapers. Clement and Jano Davies had three sons and a daughter; they lost three of the children, each at the age of twenty-four; one son died in an accident and the daughter took her own life; only one son survived. Eldest son of David Davies, bootmaker, Tregaron, generally known as David Davies, Camer-fach, a noted elder at the Bwlchgwynt (C.M.) chapel. His mother was Mary, daughter of David Jones, Dolau Bach, one of the most celebrated of elders at Llangeitho.
