BEVAN, LLEWELYN DAVID (1842 - 1918), Independent minister ), Athro Anianeg Fourth son of Llewelyn David Bevan. He was a professor of physics at the Royal Holloway College; his career and work are described by T. Iorwerth Jones in "The contributions of Welshmen to science", Transactions of the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion, 1932-3, 54-6.
BEVAN, LLYWELYN (1661 - 1723), Independent minister theology was that of a moderate Calvinist; he was evangelical in his preaching and democratic in his views on the nature and government of the church. He signed his will 7 February 1722-3.
BEVAN, THOMAS (1796? - 1819), missionary in the service of the London Missionary Society at Pen-y-banc and later to colleges at Newtown and at Gosport. It was now decided that he and Stephen Laidler should go to Madagascar. He was ordained at Neuadd-lwyd, 20-21 August 1817, and married Mary Jones (née Jacob) of Pen-yr-allt Wen in the same district. BEYNON, ROSSER (Asaph Glan Tâf; 1811 - 1876), musician in eisteddfodau in various parts of Wales. He died 3 January 1876 and was buried in Cefn cemetery, Merthyr Tydfil.
BEYNON, THOMAS (1744 - 1835), archdeacon of Cardigan and patron of eisteddfodau and Welsh literature stipend towards the building of churches in the places under his care, and the newly-founded S. David's College, Lampeter, was generously supported by him. BEYNON, TOM (1886 - 1961), minister (Presb.), historian and author Born 3 June 1886 in Cenfu, Mynydd y Garreg, near Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, son of William and Elizabeth Beynon. At the end of his time in the local council school he went to work in Pontyberem in 1903, and was received as a member of Soar church where he began preaching at the height of the 1904-05 Revival.
