EVANS, GRIFFITH IFOR
(1889 - 1966), surgeon and pioneer of the Christian Faith Healing Movement in Wales
. He graduated in medicine in 1916. Following a period of three years war service with the R.A.M.C., he gained the M.A. and D.M. in 1919, and the F.R.C.S. in 1921. With such a remarkable academic record it is somewhat surprising that he did not seek a consultant post in one of the London hospitals. However he came to Caernarfon in 1926 to join Dr.

Born 1 March 1878 at Abercwmboi, Aberdare, Glamorganshire, son of William Evans and his wife Ann Williams. The family moved to Pont-y-gwaith, and it was there that the son began to preach. He spent some time at the Pontypridd Academy before his admission to the college and the university at Bangor in 1900, where he took an honours degree in Hebrew. He won the Dean Edwards prize and the

After the 1868 general election the family was ejected from their home because the father had voted for the Liberal candidate, and they moved to Pant-teg farm near New Quay
