his elegy upon the death of Goronwy ab Ednyfed (died 1268), and the latest is his ode to the three sons of Gruffydd ap Llywelyn, after the execution of prince

(1874 - 1928), Wales and Newport Rugby forward
Wales. He was vice-captain of Newport for five seasons and in 1903-4 succeeded Llewellyn
Lloyd
as captain. In 1915-16 he played for Cross Keys, who won the Western Valleys Challenge Cup. Later, in 1918-19, he captained Pill Harriers. At one time he also played for Blackheath. He died 30 December 1928.
